These three artists from the theater group “Show and Tell” will be researching the aesthetic characteristics, storytelling strategies, and interactive formats from popular streamers and gamers on YouTube and Twitch.

Saturday - TWITTERSTORM WARNING
A presentation of experimental research
In their first phase of research “Twitterstorm Busters,” Julia Hart joined forces with media artist duo IRIS-A-MAZ to observe, analyse, and re-stage the phenomena of Twitterstorms. The Lichthof Theater stage transformed into a theatrical echo chambers where hashtags, memes, tweets, and twitter bots met and collided.
Now, almost a year later, these artists, along with actor Johannes Nehlsen, dare to go deeper into the Twitterstorm to write their own responses to controversial tweets. Is it possible to influence a Twitterstorm? Is it remotely possible to really have a civil conversation with other users on Twitter? How does it feel when you are suddenly attacked for what you tweet?
After four intense weeks on Twitter, we invite audiences to experience highlights of our research live on Zoom as a part of the Lichthof Theater’s digital platform: #lichthof_lab. We will be sharing personal stories, screenshots and videos and continuing our dialogue about the possibilities and consequences of working with Twitter in the theater.

Two small wooden figures made of wood were lying out in the sun one day on an old newspaper. One was short, fat, and painted pink; the other was straight, thin, and painted yellow. They wake up wonder about who they are and where they come from.
This new project by Julia Hart and her team is inspired by William Steig’s story “Yellow and Pink” will premiere at the Fundus Theater on January 24, 2020. Performances for school groups will take place in May 2020 at the Monsun Theater.
